Windy Now Windy: Our Heroine. Easily startled, and prone to rely too much on first impressions, it's safe to say that Windy hasn't yet reached her full potential. She hasn't said much about where she's from or how she got here, but, to be fair, she hasn't had a chance to talk about the former, and she doesn't know the answer to the latter. All she knows is that she fell through a hole in the ground, which on the other side turned out to be a hole in the sky, and now she's stuck here. Windy Then
Nuffles Now Nuffles: Our friendly neighborhood talking hedgehog. Cuddly. Likes to run. Has a pretty simplistic worldview. "But if he's a hedgehog," you're asking, "where are his spines?" Well, the answer to that is the same as the answer to "If he's a hedgehog, why can he talk?", a question which nobody but Windy has bothered asking lately. Nuffles Then
Ertre Now Ertre: The oldest tree around, with a tendency to be curmudgeonly, Ertre gets his kicks out of terrorizing small animals and people he feels to be his intellectual inferiors (i.e., everyone). He is only occasionally struck with fits of conscience. Rumors that he's standing in a clearing because his withering remarks caused all the neighboring trees to commit suicide are Just Rumors. Ertre Then
Miz Hattie Now Miz Hattie: A woman of indeterminate age, assisted by the fact that she has no face. Rumor has it she used to, but where it went is a mystery as Miz Hattie is close-lipped about it (or would be, if she still had lips.) Hattie lives alone in the Furth Country, but keeps Ertre company from time to time, and also looks out for Nuffles and other weaker creatures when need be. By nature an idealist and an activist, one can only wonder why she lives in such near-isolation. Miz Hattie Then
Normal Chuck Now Normal Chuck: Defender of Truth, Quasher of Squickiness, and Rescuer of Damsels (unless they're liars, or squicky.) Chuck used to be a henchman for the sorceror in the Green Keep, but now lives alone in the swamp between the Sallow Sea and the Lokui Wood. All he really wants is someone to love--bless his big ol' xenophobic heart. Normal Chuck Then
